Today I am going to Share with you My all-time favorite Marinara sauce. It is super simple and very delicious. This is my go-to sauce for a lot of my Italian dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. This recipe is so versatile and it has a very complex flavor. You will fall in love with this recipe and you will use it for a number of your favorite dishes.
This is a base recipe. You can add any type of spices you like but, the base is my favorite and I always tweak it to fit my taste for that day.
1 (28 oz) can of crushed or chopped tomatoes
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar (lightly packed)
pepper to taste
a few dashes of sriracha or hot sauce of choice and to taste
1/4 tsp salt (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 425*.
- In a bowl combine all of your ingredients and whisk together until well combined.
- Pour in into an 8×8 inch pan and level off. bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly. Remove from the oven and serve.
You can pour over vegan meatballs for a spaghetti and meatballs, on top of a vegetable loaf for a sauce. Pour over any type of pasta for a sauce topper. You can use this a dipper for pizza or bread knots. Either way, you use this delicious sauce you will love it!
