This is a very simple and delicious dressing that you can put on anything. I simply love this dressing and it pairs well with so many salads and pasta. A very versatile dressing that you can change a number of ingredients to suit your taste. I often add more dijon for that spicy mustard flavor or more lemon for that tart flavor. Sometimes I add in some sriracha to make it a bit spicier.
It is nice to have such a flavorful dressing that you can dress up or down for any occasion. This is one way I like to use this dressing. A simple pasta salad.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp Tahini
Juice of 1/4 to 1/2 Lemon
1 tsp Soy Sauce or Liquid Amino’s
1 tsp Nutritional Yeast
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Pepper to taste
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1/4 tsp Turmeric
Water to thin it out
DIRECTIONS:
- In a small bowl whisk together all the ingredients except the water. This will make a thick paste. using 1 tbsp at a time whisk in the water until your desired thickness. I like mine to be pourable. I add in about 5-6 tbsp. when you have your desired thickness taste and adjust seasonings to taste.
I drizzled the dressing over a Blanched Brocolli Pasta Salad. I topped it with Blanched Almonds, Pepitas, and Sesame Seeds. A very simple Salad, Just boil gluten-free pasta, drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside. Bring water up to a boil and add in Brocolli florets and carrot strings and cook until bright green and slightly tender. About 5-8 minutes depending on how big the florets are. Quickly toss the vegetables in ice water and let set about 2 minutes to cool. Drain and pat dry on a paper towel. toss the pasta and vegetables together and drizzle over the super yummy dressing. Enjoy!
Super delicious and good for you and it’s oil-free and salt-free If you classify soy or liquid amino’s a non-salt additive. In this recipe, it is all about the dressing!
