Hot Cider


2 quarts apple juice

4 cloves

4 cinnamon sticks

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 apple, thinly sliced


  1.  In a large pot combine all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and turn heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Take out the cloves, cinnamon sticks and apple slices if you want but I leave them in for decorative purposes.
  3. Ladle into mugs and serve.
