Homemade Ketchup

INGREDIENTS:

1 (15 oz) can pureed tomatoes

1 small onion, peeled and quartered

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup brown sugar

3 tbsp tomato paste

1 cinnamon stick

1/4 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a medium saucepan combine all of the ingredients and stir to combine. Cook over low heat for 1 hour.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  3. Remove the cinnamon and onion and store in an airtight container.
