This is one of the best cheese sauces I have tasted. It is so similar to the actual cheese sauce. It is better for you and tastes so good.
1 potato diced
2 carrots diced
1 cup water ( or enough to cover the vegetables)
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
- In a saucepan add the potato, carrot, and water to a boil. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the vegetables to a food processor along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth adding in a little of the liquid from the saucepan to thin out to a cheese-like consistency.
- Check for seasonings and add more if needed. Blend to incorporate.
- Pour over your pasta or use as a dipping sauce.
