Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Bliss Balls

20170926_150221These Pumpkin Spice Flavored Bliss Balls are Simply delicious. They are packed with beneficial ingredients and full of flavor. They are very easy to make and there is no processing required.

The flavor is so decadent with the peanut butter and pumpkin flavor with a hint of fall spice in the background and the chocolate chips just tie this whole thing together. They last about a week in the fridge if you don’t eat them up before then, and they are travel friendly.  They are completely vegan. They are low in sugar and have no added oils.

You can make these along with your kids so they can learn healthy eating habits as well as learning to put recipes together. You and your family will love these little delights.

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup nut butter of choice ( I used peanut butter)

1/4 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp flour or flour of choice ( I used Almond flour)

1 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

pinch of salt (optional) ( I used pink Himalayan salt)

1/4 cup vegan mini chocolate chips

2 tbsp flax seeds

1 tbsp oats

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a medium size bowl combine the peanut butter, pumpkin puree, chia, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, salt, flax seeds and oats. mix well.
  2. add in the flour and chocolate chips and using a spoon combine well. Make sure there are no clumps of flour in the batter. The batter will be dough like and very thick and slightly sticky.
  3. Using a tablespoon, spoon out one tablespoon of mixture and roll into balls, about 1 inch thick. Place in a parchment lined airtight container. This batter makes about 8-10 bliss balls. Add a lid to the container and store in the fridge up to one week.

 

Enjoy these little delights with tea or coffee in the afternoon as a snack or dessert. Unlike regular snacks or deserts you can have more than one. Keep in mind that all things are good in moderation. You can enjoy your journey on weight-loss and maintenance. You don’t have to skip out on the yummy things in life.
