Vanilla Creamer

I’ve recently started to make my own creamer at home. I find that I can control the ingredients and make any flavors that I want. Vanilla? yes. Pumpkin pie? yep. Maple brown sugar? of course. Any flavor. Any time.

This simple vanilla creamer can be made one of two ways but both are slightly sweet and so good. Depending on which ingredients I have on hand are what I use to make this. Both offer their own unique spin on the vanilla flavoring. Depending on how much coffee you drink, they typically last about 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator. Now, this creamer is not too sweet, however, you can add additional sugar to sweeten it up to your taste.

INGREDIENTS:

1 can of sweetened condensed milk (or sweetened condensed coconut milk) (I use organic)
1 can of evaporated milk (or evaporated coconut milk) (I use organic)
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
a pinch of kosher salt (1/4 tsp)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. This is super simple. Mix everything in a jar or bowl until well combined and the salt is dissolved. Store this in an airtight container for 1 to 2 weeks.

  • If you want this a bit sweeter, place everything in a saucepan. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar of your choice. Heat over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool completely before storing it in an airtight container.
